Opunake, a small town on the coast of Taranaki, New Zealand features stunning views of the coastline and the iconic mountain. Opunake Beach Kiwi Holiday Park is right by the beach in a sheltered sandy bay surrounded in the summer by crimson Pohutukawa trees – it’s been a popular summer camping spot for families, couples and groups for over 50 years!

We have a range of affordable accommodation including campsites, campervan or RV parks, classic caravan, standard cabins & self-contained (motel) units. Opunake Beach Kiwi Holiday Park carries a 4 star Qualmark rating and Silver Envro Award offers modern communal amenities and wheelchair access. The Holiday Park Shop is open from October to April and sells delicious icecreams, sweets, cold drinks and hot food - fancy fish n chips by the beach?!
Enjoy the great kiwi outdoors in a beach environment where children can play on the beach and at the adjacent playground, complete with a toddler’s paddling pool (seasonal).
Office Hours
From Labour Weekend until Easter the Park Office is open from 8.30am until 8pm.
Other times of the year it is open from 8.30am until 6.30pm.
